FILM 'Into the White' 2 GCSE style questions

(0)
Two GCSE type questions relating to a synopsis of the film 'Into the White', which features Rupert Grint (of Harry Potter fame). The film is based on the true story of German and British air crews having to co-operate to survive, having both crashed in the Norwegian mountains during WW2. In one version, the synopsis is followed by questions in English. In the other, the text is followed by True / False / Not in Text questions.

Powerpoint with nine slides picturing different types of holiday and with questions to support or provoke discussion. The Word document has arguments for and against tourism which can provide further support. The first slide on the PPT acts as a homepage. CATWOMAN Mein Traumhaus

(5)
The first file contains a text modelling a relatively straight forward description of a dream home, followed by conjugation of möchte, wäre and hätte. The second file contains a toolkit to help students write about a dream home. They could do this from their own point of view or from the point of view of a fictitious character. PS Typo fixed!

Wenn Darth Vader Schuldirektor wäre

(2)
Playscript in which a stressed teacher foolishly complains about the length and structure of the school day to the Head Teacher, who happens to be Darth Vader. Students could practise the dialogue as is, and then change the words in bold type. PS This is not a reference to any particular Head Teacher!

Hat jemand eine Katze gefunden?

(0)
Open-ended activity in which students must (i) improvise a dialogue featuring all of the sentences on the sheet and (ii) write the dialogue up. Works well if you improvise a dialogue for the class to watch before asking them to do it.
